We want a gender-equal Victoria for everyone. To get there, we must address the colonial systems that cause inequality. The Gender Equality Act calls for a safe and equal society where all Victorians share power, resources and opportunities. We also know First Nations women face added barriers, so our work takes an intersectional approach.
Reconciliation Australia has endorsed our Reflect RAP. Adviser Maria Watson-Trudgett guides us as we put the plan into action.
This is a long-term journey. We will keep listening, acting and taking responsibility to help build a fairer, more equal Australia.
